Service Introduction
BlackBerry is a form of service which actively push users’ mails received in mail server to proprietary BlackBerry terminals through terminal-to-terminal safe connection. By BlackBerry service, users can use proprietary terminals at any moment and anywhere to receive, reply, forward and write encrypted e-mails.
Service Functions
BlackBerry service has basic functions such as supporting multiple mail systems, multiple forms of attachment, mail filtration and remote cleanup of mail data. It uses “PUSH” technique to wirelessly receive and send e-mails and realizes real-time e-mail communication without new address.
Besides e-mail functions, BlackBerry also supports PIM synchronization functions including bidirectional synchronized calendar, meeting and summary, overdue mails automatically deletion, mail search, concentrated management, using proprietary BlackBerry.net APN.
It supports voice, SMS and WAP functions, realizing all wireless communication requirements, and satisfying users’ “always online, always connected” wireless enterprise data application, such as ERP, SFA, and CRM etc.
Application Range
BlackBerry service is applicable for group clients who need real-time receiving and sending mails. Clients need to install a mail proxy gateway beside their LAN mail server, and be equipped with the proprietary BlackBerry terminals.

Standard rate
Package 1: monthly function fee 398 Yuan, including 50M GPRS flow at home.
Package 2: monthly function fee 598 Yuan, including 400M GPRS flow, hereinto 2M is international GPRS flow.
(In flow at home, the communication standard rate is 0.01 Yuan/KB beyond donated flow; in international flow, the communication standard rate is according to GPRS international roaming standard rate beyond donated flow; after clients apply for BlackBerry service, the monthly functional expense and the communication expense beyond donated part will be charged in that month.
Notice:
1. BlackBerry service takes effect immediately after application. Package functional fee is charged at the beginning of every month, and for the part beyond donated, it is charged real-timely.
2. BlackBerry package 2 contains 2MB free charge international roam GPRS data flow of 37 countries and regions (The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Puerto Rico, Poland, Germany, Dominica, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Greece, Malta, Norway, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, South Africa, Chile).
3. Donated flow refers to the GPRS flow communication expense generated in proprietary APN. Other APN’s GPRS flow will be charged separately.
4. BlackBerry service will be not cancelled in the condition of arrearage or stopping service, and the functional fee is charged; after recovery, BlackBerry service will be automatically reactivated.
5. In the condition of pre-logout/logout, pre-backout/backout and transfer, BlackBerry service will be cancelled, and functional fee will not be charged; after recovery, BlackBerry should be applied again if you want.

(for group clients who are using BlackBerry service provided by overseas operators, CMCC provides changing card service; for group clients who have installed BlackBerry proxy gateway but not opened service yet, CMCC provides configuring card service.)

1. BlackBerry supports proprietary terminals, and the terminals supporting Hanization are 7290 and 8700.
2. Mailbox’s password cannot be changed by BlackBerry.
3. Mail number and size are only restricted by the terminal’s capacity.
4. The attachment will not be downloaded by default, and users can choose to receive attachment or not, and the attachment types receivable are .zip, .htm, .html, .doc, .dot, .ppt, .pdf, .wpd, .txt, and .xls files, and graphic files .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, .tif.
5. The addresses in mobile address book can be mail receivers’ addresses.

1. What kind of clients should use BlackBerry?
Answer: BlackBerry service is applicable for multinational clients whose mail server is abroad and domestic enterprise clients with business requirements.
2. How is the global application condition of BlackBerry?
Answer:

Answer: the full name of APN is Access Point Network. Mobile gets mail through APN, and the proprietary APN of BlackBerry is BlackBerry.net.
4. What kind of mail system does BlackBerry support?
Answer: Supporting multiple mailbox system. BES service supporting Lotus Notes system, Microsoft Exchange or GroupWise mail system.
5. How do clients confirm to open BlackBerry?
Answer: in terminal homepage, find “option” (if there is “advanced option”, enter it) and enter “route table”, choose “register now”, if a SMS is sent to mailbox, that means BlackBerry service has been opened.
6. Is BlackBerry applicable if mail server is abroad?
Answer: yes. The location of mail server does not influence the usage of BlackBerry.
7. How about the flow generated by BlackBerry?
Answer: very small flow (1M~3M/month, 1500 mails), BlackBerry only sends mail text and attachment list to client terminals, and compress the text and attachment. Clients can download attachments according to their own requirements.
8. How can clients estimate whether the flow generated by WAP belongs to BlackBerry.net? How to change default access point?
Answer: if you make bookmark and browse webpage in MONTERNET browser, APN is CMWAP, counted in CMWAP flow; if you make bookmark and browse webpage in BlackBerry, APN is BlackBerry.net, counted in BlackBerry.net flow. Flow APN is related to default setup. If default setup is MONTERNET, then flow APN is CMWAP; if default setup is BlackBerry, then flow APN is BlackBerry.net. You can change it by option-advanced option-browser-default browser setup.
9. Does BlackBerry restrict mail number and size?
Answer: mail number is only restricted by terminal capacity, and the mail size can be set in BES server.
10. Is BlackBerry mail proxy gateway secure?
Answer: mail proxy gateway is installed in enterprise LAN, and protected by enterprise firewall, guaranteeing safety.
11. How can clients continue to use BlackBerry service after changing terminal?
Answer: the enterprise administrator can reactivate terminals. There are two reactivating methods: wire and wireless.
12. Which mail functions can be realized through BlackBerry terminal operations?
Answer: supporting creating, replying, replying all and forward mails; supporting filtering conditions setup; supporting receiving attachment and forward attachment.
13. How to activate mobile to use BlackBerry after applying it?
Answer: solving steps:
1) Let the company administrator add your mailbox address to the server, and set activating password and password expiring period.
2) Within the set activating period, enter into mobile menu “option” to choose “enterprise activation”.
14. How to activate terminal in wireless way after installing BES?
Answer:
1) BES administrator tells the terminal user activating password in safe way; in the conditions of good network, terminal user choose from terminal homepage: Options – Advanced Options – Enterprise Activation in the terminal mobile
2) In the page of Enterprise Activation, input the address of enterprise mailbox and activating password set by the administrator.
3) Click the wheel, and choose Activate in the prompted menu.
4) Normally the terminal will be activated within several minutes, then the terminal can receive and send mails normally.
