Opening and Canceling the Service

How to apply for the GPRS system:
Visit a CMCC Service Hall. Private customers should bring their ID cards (and a guarantor is needed for non-local individuals); for business clients, please bring a Letter of Introduction from your company, original duplicate of authentic and valid business registration certificate and the handler’s valid certificate and materials.

How to apply for the WLAN system:
GoTone customers should go to a Service Hall and bring a valid identity document or their VIP service password if they wish to open, cancel or reset their password.

Via SMS: send SQWLAN (capital of small letter) in it to 1866.

Usage

Hardware required for Go with E service: mobile terminal (laptop or PDA), GPRS card and data SIM card.

Mobile Terminal: the ultimate carrier of Go with E. Customers can surf on Internet through wireless access of mobile terminal.

GPRS card: this is a high-tech card which adopts GPRS wireless network technology. It can connect with laptops or PDA through the PCMCIA slot or USB (PCMCIA slot is commonly used for installation and modem cards). All GPRS cards have a data SIM slot, and customers need to insert their SIM card into the GPRS card.

Data SIM card: the data SIM card without voice functions, but data communication functions. Users need to insert their SIM card into GPRS, and then when they are connected, customers can realize wireless internet surfing and send or receive text messages.
