ZONG the first international brand of China Mobile being launched in Pakistan
Launch to give major boost to cellular industry

Islamabad, April 05, 2008: China Mobile – the world largest mobile phone company in terms of its market value, subscriber base and network scale - launched its first international brand ZONG simultaneously across Pakistan today. Set to shake up the burgeoning cellular industry in the country, the core essence of ZONG is to allow people to communicate at will; without worrying about tariffs, network coverage, capacity issues or congestion. ZONG will be supported by innovative communications, trend setting customer service and an unmatched product offering which will redefine the standard of the cellular industry and establish China Mobile as a serious contender for the number one position.

Mr. WANG Jianzhou, Executive Director, Chairman and CEO China Mobile Communications Corporation, who came to Pakistan especially for the launch stated at the event that: “Today is a landmark day not only for China Mobile but also for the cellular industry in Pakistan. We are continuing to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in Pakistan and we have a very long-term view of this market. CMPak is our first venture outside China and we are very optimistic about its success.
