CMCC brand value ranks fifth in the world

U.S. market research company Millward Brown has recently announced its global brand study results: CMCC ranks fifth in the world with a brand value of 41.214 billion U.S. dollars, the highest non-American ranking brand.This is the second time Millward Brown released their rankings this year. The top four companies are Google, General Electric, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola. The ranking system is based on factors including customer service in newly-emerging markets etc.. Millward Brown CEO Elena Campbell said that these rankings show the outstanding corporate leadership, reliable financial management, and effective marketing of these companies.
The CMCC brand is widely known at home and abroad and continuously makes new breakthroughs. In 2006, CMCC ranked 4th in "the world's most powerful 100 brands" according to Britain's Financial Times newspaper with a brand value of 39.2 billion U.S. dollars, 3rd in the "Top 500 Asian Brands" from the World Brand Laboratory, and No. 1 in "20 best Chinese brands" in the U.S magazine Business Weekly.
The industry experts believes that the ranking reflects the remarkable advances CMCC has made in international competitiveness. CMCC's brand value derives from its outstanding quality, excellent performance, and strong sense of responsibility to society, and the core substance of the brand CMCC is established in this way. CMCC is a company with the biggest network scope, number of customers and market value in the world. For six years, CMCC has paid taxes of over 1,670 billion RMB and created more than 2.3million direct and indirect job opportunities. From 2003 to 2005, CMCC's annual contribution to China's GDP was over 1.1%, and it kept fueling the national economy gross demand with a rate of 2.2%.
